■ The Blessings of Nature "YAMAMOTO-YA"

We have made contracts with farmers all around in Kyoto so that we can lay in vegetables directly from them.
Thus, we are able to provide fresh and safe vegetables to restaurants and grocery stores.
We also lay in vegetables at the wholesale market every morning. Therefore, stable supply is promised even when lacking of vegetables because of the seasonal reasons or decrease in production.

How it all started : the start of working with farmers in Kyoto

It all started when I dreamed of more people to enjoy the good, tasty, and safe vegetables that grown by reliable farmers. Most of them are in their 70s or 80s, yet they still work very hard to grow good Kyoto vegetables. They all hold the one simple wish. That is to give safe and good vegetables to their children and to their grand children. That wish is very simple, but I thought that was the most important thought that we need to keep it in mind as a vegetable seller.

The self-sufficiency rate in vegetables is still low in this country. The local production for local consumption has not been successful as assumed.
We would continue our effort to promote 'local production for local consumption' and to provide fresh Kyoto Vegetables to
more people taking over Farmer's wish.

Thank you.
